Our Northern Nomad Adventures is a 10-day immersive journey through Ghana鈥檚 cultural heartland, designed for travelers seeking authenticity, connection, and adventure. From the vibrant energy of Accra to the sacred sites of the Upper East and the wildlife-rich savannahs of Mole National Park, this experience blends history, culture, nature, and meaningful community interactions. Guests will explore ancient traditions, engage with local communities, encounter wildlife in their natural habitat, and enjoy moments of rest and reflection, creating a deeply enriching and unforgettable Ghanaian experience. Day 1: Arrival in Accra 鈥 Welcome to Ghana

Once you arrive in Ghana, you will go through and complete immigration formalities. Upon exit, you will meet your local guide and enjoy a smooth transfer to your hotel. Guests arriving in the evening will be welcomed with light refreshments before check-in. After check-in, we will experience a special traditional welcome ceremony with drinks and dinner, This is an authentic introduction to Ghanaian culture and hospitality.

Day 2: Accra City & Historical Tour

Shortly after breakfast, we will explore Ghana鈥檚 capital city with visits to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, National Museum, Independence Square, and Black Star Arch. After lunch, continue to the W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre, learning about Ghana鈥檚 role in Pan-African history. We will return to the hotel before dark, have some downtime and prepare for our first nightlife experience.

Day 3: Accra 鈥 Tamale | Northern Cultural Introduction

We will fly from Accra to Tamale in the morning. Upon arrival, begin a guided city tour including visits to local arts and crafts markets, the basket market, and the Red Clay Museum. Later, check in to your accommodation and enjoy downtime to rest and recharge.

Day 4: Explore Upper East Region | Tengzug Shrine Rocks & Paga Crocodile Pond

Today, we will journey north to the Tengzug Shrine Rocks, a spiritually significant cultural site. We will explore the fascinating rock formations, caves and sweeping landscape of the Tongo Hills. We will learn the history of the village as well. This is home to multiple shrines. The shrines draw people from across Ghana and neighboring countries who believe they have a sacred power to provide guidance and resolution of problems. From here, we will have lunch and Continue to Paga Crocodile Pond, where you鈥檒l explore the community and learn about the unique coexistence between the people and the sacred crocodiles. We will stay overnight in Paga.

Day 5: Drive to Mole National Park

Depart for Mole National Park, Ghana鈥檚 largest wildlife reserve. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and enjoy a relaxed afternoon surrounded by nature, preparing for the safari experiences ahead.

Day 6: Explore Mole National Park & Larabanga Experience

We will have an early morning. We will begin the day with a morning jeep safari in Mole National Park, offering opportunities to spot elephants and explore other wildlife the park has to offer. We will return for breakfast and leisure time by the pool. In the afternoon, visit the historic Larabanga Ancient Mosque and the famous Mystic Stone. We will take a guided walk through the community, including a hands-on shea butter鈥搈aking experience, before an evening safari and return to the lodge.

Day 7: Rest & Optional Eco-Village Experience

We will have a full day of rest and relaxation where we enjoy a day at leisure in Mole National Park. Guests may opt to visit the Mognori Eco-Village, featuring a canoe ride on the Mognori Lagoon and a deeper look into sustainable village life.

Day 8: Mole 鈥 Tamale 鈥 Accra

Shortly after breakfast, we will travel back to Tamale and fly to Accra. Upon arrival, we will be transfered to our hotel where we enjoy a relaxed evening.

Day 9: Arts, Souvenirs & Farewell Celebration

We will visit the Accra Arts Centre for souvenir shopping and cultural crafts. We will have the opportunity to make our last shopping for friends and families back home. In the evening, we will have a farewell ceremony, celebrating the journey, connections made, and shared experiences. We will also congratulate ourselves for taking this trip.

Day 10: Departure

Based on your depature time, we will transfer and drop you off to the airport to enable you catch your flight with no stress. This will mark the end of the Northern Nomad Adventures experience and we hope to see you again for different other adventures.
