Day 1
3rd July - Arrival in Ghana
Once you have arrived at Kotoka International airport you will go through all formalities and after you have come out from the immigration you will be met by a guide. Should it be that your flight arrives at night there will be snacks awaiting to fill any stomach which is empty. We will get on our bus and drive straight to our hotel for the night. We would not spend much time on briefings and allow you to check in and settle in for the night. We will have welcome drinks and dinner in the evening accompanied with African culture drums.
Day 2
4th July - Explore Accra
We will spend the entire day exploring Accra. We will visit the Independence Square, the Black Star Arch and the national museum. We will also visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial park which is the final resting place of the first president of Ghana. We will have lunch and visit the Makola market. We will drive back to our accommodation, have some downtime and dinner and prepare to experience our first nightlife in Ghana.
Day 3
5th July - Explore Volta Lake via Shai Hills Forest Reserve
Shortly after breakfast, we will drive to the Shai Hills Forest Reserve. From here, we will proceed on to the Volta Lake, the worlds larget man made lake by surface area where we go on a cruise on the lake. We will have lunch and drive back to Accra.
Day 4
6th July - Drive to Elmina via Assin Manso Slave Market
We will depart shortly after breakfast. We will drive to the Central Region of Ghana. In arriving at Elmina, we will check in our beach front accommodation which will be our home in the next few days. Enroute, we will visit Assin Manso Slave Market today. This is the final and the last point the slaves had their last bath before taken to the castles and were shipped to the unknown world. We will experience the reverential walk of return where we go through the process of reconnecting back to the motherland. We will take a walk on the very soil to the slave river where our ancestors had their last bath. The walk to the river will be done bare foooted which signifies connecting ourselves to the motherland and paying respect to our ancestors who took that journey and all lost souls. We will also visit the memorail wall of return where we will have names written on the wall to show sign of beign able to return back home.
Day 5
7th July - Experience Bakatue Festival
Today we will experience the Bakatue Fesival of the people of Elmina, Ghana's top most hitorical town. There will be a royal procession made up of gorgeously dressed chiefs and stool bearers, some of them riding in beautifully decorated palanquin. Fetish Priests and Priestesses, Herbalist, Supis, Asafohenfo and concerned citizens. This one of the highlight of our trip in Ghana.
Day 6
8th July - Visit Cape Coast & Elmina Slave Dugeon
Today, we will visit the Elmina castle which is the oldest and the largest slave dungeon below the sub sahara. From here, we will also visit the Cape Coast slave dungeon and visit the Door of No Return. We will have lunch and go back to our accommodation where we have some donwtime. In the evening we will experience night life of the locals.
Day 7
9th July - Visit Kakum Rainforest. Drive to Busua Beach
We will visit the Kakum Rainforest and Canopy walk. Park, one of the few existing canopies walkway in the world. From here, we will drive to Busua, one of the most beautiful beaches in Ghana..

10th July - Rest & Relaxation. School Visit

11th July - Explore Nzulenzu Stilit Village鈥 Farewell Dinner
Shortly after breakfast, we will drive to Nzulenzu Stilt village where we visit one of the most unique villages in Africa where they live completely on water. We will have lunch at a beach location and drive back to our beach fromt accommodation. In the evening, we will have our farewell dinner. After dinner, we will have reflections around a bonfire. Everyone will have an oppurtunity to talk about how this trip is impacted them and congratulate ourselves for taking this trip.
Day 10
12 July - Departure 鈥 Farewell to Ghana
Based on your deparyure time, we will drop you off at the airport on time to allow you catch your flight with no stress.
