Akwaaba! Welcome to Ghana. On arrival at Kotoka International Airport, you鈥檒l be warmly greeted by your guide and assisted through formalities. A light snack will be provided if your flight arrives late, before transferring to your hotel to settle in. In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner and drinks, officially beginning your Ghanaian adventure.
Day 2: Discover Accra
The day begins with an immersion into the vibrant capital city. We鈥檒l visit Independence Square and the Black Star Arch, monuments to Ghana鈥檚 freedom, and the National Museum to explore the country鈥檚 art, history, and cultural treasures. At the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, we honor the legacy of Ghana鈥檚 first president before heading to Makola Market, where colors, fabrics, and local energy bring the city alive. After lunch and rest, we close the day with an evening of Accra鈥檚 buzzing nightlife.
Day 3: Drive to Elmina
We travel west along the coast to Elmina, Ghana鈥檚 most historic town. Here, we step inside Elmina Castle, the oldest and largest slave dungeon in Sub-Saharan Africa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with powerful stories. Later, we check into our beachfront accommodation, with time to unwind before heading out to enjoy Elmina鈥檚 local nightlife and coastal charm.
Day 4: Kakum Rainforest, Elmina Tour & Lagoon Cruise
Adventure awaits with a visit to Kakum National Park and its iconic canopy walkway, offering panoramic rainforest views. After lunch, we鈥檒l explore Elmina鈥檚 old town, with its narrow lanes, fishing boats, and historic charm. In the evening, a boat cruise on the lagoon and sea reveals the town鈥檚 beauty from the water.
Day 5: Drive to Busua
Today, we will drive to Ghana鈥檚 Western Region and make our way to Busua. Upon arrival, we will check in at our beachfront accommodation and enjoy lunch with an ocean view. The rest of the afternoon will be spent relaxing by the beach, with optional activities available such as surfing, beach football, volleyball, swimming, and more.
In the evening, we will gather for dinner followed by a cozy bonfire on the beach to enjoy music, connection, and coastal night vibes.
Day 6: Rest, Culture & Farewell
This day offers a balance of relaxation and culture. Spend the morning at leisure, or join optional workshops in traditional cooking. In the evening, we will visit a local chief鈥檚 palace for an unforgettable experience of a traditional naming ceremony, before we close the night with a farewell dinner and celebration.
